Built on 15 Years of Excellence

The Uhuru Academy Education Solutions (UAES) has spent 15 years delivering culturally grounded, results-driven education for Black youth across the nation. This summer, in partnership with the SC Juneteenth Freedom Fest — now in its 10th Anniversary year — we are launching three transformational initiatives designed to pour directly into the next generation.

Every initiative is free or scholarship-accessible to youth and families. Your sponsorship is what makes that possible. This is not charity — it is community investment. It is legacy. It is you choosing to be on the right side of history.

The Uhuru Academy — 15 Years of Excellence
Uhuru Academy Students & Families — Learning Beyond the Classroom

Four Initiatives. One Mission.

Your sponsorship supports one, two, three, or all four of these summer programs — each one a direct investment in Black youth excellence.

01
SCJFF
Youth Empowerment Zone
June 19, 2026 · Hopkins, SC · Free to the Public
The Youth Empowerment Zone is the heartbeat of the SC Juneteenth Freedom Fest 10th Anniversary — a dedicated space for youth featuring hands-on STEM stations (Lego Engineering, Slime Chemistry, Seed Planting), a tent-based Gaming Station (2–6 PM), Youth Empowerment Award plaques, a professional DJ, and branded STEM participation bags for every youth who engages. The event is free to the entire community. Sponsorships keep it that way.
02
UA Online
Online Summer School
Session I: June 8–19 · Session II: July 13–24, 2026
A nationally offered, immersive virtual education experience for Black youth ages 9–16. Daily 10 AM–1 PM EST. Three core pillars: Academic Enrichment, Black History (centered — not footnoted), and Vision Development — the Academy's signature approach connecting education with purpose, leadership, and life planning. Approved vendor for South Carolina ESTF, Arizona ESA, Arkansas EFA, and Louisiana GATOR. A full student scholarship is $600.
03
Ceremony
Graduation & Promotion Ceremony
June 20, 2026 · 9:00–10:30 AM EST · UASC International
The day after Juneteenth, students travel from across the country to UASC International Learning Center in Hopkins, SC for a graduation and promotion ceremony unlike any other. Beyond the ceremony: a bonfire, campout, talent show under the pavilion, sleepover, and a catered breakfast. This is a full cultural experience — honoring achievement and wrapping our graduates in the embrace of a village that sees their greatness.

Arts & Culture
Arts & Culture Sponsorship
June 20, 2026  ·  SC Juneteenth Freedom Fest  ·  Hopkins, SC

The Cultural Expressions of Uhuru African Drum & Dance Ensemble will perform live at the SC Juneteenth Freedom Fest, bringing the power of African cultural expression to the entire community. Rooted in the traditions of the African continent, this performance connects our people — especially our youth — to the living heartbeat of our culture: the drum, the dance, and the spirit of a people who have always found a way to celebrate, to heal, and to rise.

This is not entertainment for entertainment's sake. This is cultural education in motion. We are seeking a $1,500 Arts & Culture Sponsorship to fully subsidize this performance and ensure the entire community experiences it at no cost.

Sponsorship Goal: $1,500  ·  Fully subsidizes the ensemble performance

Why Sponsor the UA Summer Initiative?

Beyond doing the right thing, this is a smart move for any business or organization that wants to build authentic relationships within the Black community. Here is what you gain.

Brand Visibility in the Right Rooms

Your name and logo in front of Black families, educators, community leaders, and youth who are actively engaged — not passive scrollers. These are conscious consumers who pay attention to who shows up for their community.

Community Trust & Goodwill

In a marketplace where authenticity matters more than advertising budgets, being a documented partner in Black youth empowerment builds the kind of trust money cannot buy.

Social Media Recognition

Pre-event, day-of, and post-event shout-outs across Uhuru Academy and SCJFF platforms reaching thousands of followers across Facebook, Instagram, and beyond.

Tax Documentation

All monetary contributions come with proper documentation for your records. Consult your tax professional regarding deductibility.

Association with Excellence

The Uhuru Academy has a 15-year track record of delivering results. When your name is attached to this work, it reflects your commitment to excellence — and the community notices.

A Story Worth Telling

Your customers, employees, and community want to know what you stand for. Sponsoring Black youth empowerment is a story worth telling — in your newsletter, on your wall, and in your marketing.

You Become Part of the Legacy

The youth we serve today are the business owners, voters, educators, and leaders of tomorrow. The investment you make now will be remembered.

An Excellent Opportunity to Be Part of the Solution

When communities struggle, the solution doesn't come from outside — it comes from within. Your sponsorship positions you as a builder, not a bystander. That matters now more than ever.
